If you want to visit a pulsing place that's the pinnacle of Japan's culture and food then Osaka is the best place for you. Known as the heart of Japan's cultural and economic evolution, the city is a huge and vast one and it has some many things to do in it but we'll show you 10 things to do in Osaka!


  • Universal Studios Japan is must visit for people who travel to Japan because it features over 30 different attractions! The thing that makes it so special is it's features special attractions such as Super Nintendo World, The Flying Dinosaur, and etc. Although some rides and attractions did come to the other Universal parks, those attractions came to USJ first!

  • Osaka Castle is a historical monument that people should visit in Osaka as it represents the unification of Japan in the sixteenth period. It is now a museum that teaches people of what happened during that times. The castle is fully modernized from the inside and also has elevators in it. It also tells about the history of Toyotomi Hideyoshi who was the creator of the huge castle.

  • Osaka Aquarium is known for being one of the largest aquariums in the world and is also known for being one of most well liked aquariums in Japan because of its huge size. It has eight wonderful floors to explore and so many cool sea animals to look at awe at. There are about 15 zones with 30,000 animals to look at ranging from Manta Rays to Penguins.

  • Shitenno-ji is known for being the most well known Buddhist temple in Osaka and it's origins go back to 593 when it was constructed by Prince Shotoku during when Buddhism started to grow popular in Japan. There are so many things you can explore in this buddhist temple as it shows important religious documents, statues and arts of the leading Buddhist figure.

  • Kuromom Market is a public market that stretches around 600 meters and contains about 150 shops but it mostly contains fish and meat shops. You could try so many delicious foods but one that is the most known is takoyaki which is a ball shaped Japanese snack that contains Octopuses. The Market's history goes back to the Edo Period of Japan.

  • Sumiyoshi Taisha is known for being one of Japan's oldest Shrines. It was built before Buddhism became popular in Japan. In the Shrines, they have the kami (Shinto Gods) who protect travelers and citizens at sea. The designs of the Shrines are purely Japanese and don't have any affiliation with any other religion or country from the Asian Homeland.

  • Dotonbori is known as the big entertainment area of Osaka and it holds an interesting history about it. Yasui Doton was the man who was responsible for Dotonbori, he originally built Dotonbori for a waterway but as the years went, it became a popular entertainment area that was more than a canal. Dotonbori is also known for it's barrage of food as here you could try so many different kinds of meat and deserts.

  • Osaka Station City is known as the largest commercial complex in Western Japan. It features multiples places for anyone and they all feature different stuff such as Furniture, Fashion, Food, and etc. There are so many places in Osaka Station City to go to for the average person, it can probably fit different requirements for what people want to buy on a Vacation/Traveling.

  • Shinsekai is a highly developed district in Osaka when was upgraded in 1903 when 5 million people decided to travel there and builders decided to upgrade the district into something bigger. The Southern part of Shinsekai bears a huge resemblance to the famous American attraction, Coney Island! Just like many other districts, it excels in food and fashion.

  • Osaka Museum of History is a good museum that manages to tell the important parts of the city's history. The Museum exhibits feature everything you need to know about Osaka. The exhibits also feature beautifully made large models which explain the long and deep rooted history. The Exhibits are on the higher floors while the lower floors are filled with restaurants.
