A Living, Working Monument!

The Glade Creek Grist Mill is located near the Babcock State Park headquarters in West Virginia. The mill was completed in 1976 and named in honor of Edward V. Babcock (A Lumber Industrialist who served as mayor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1918 to 1922.)The mill was built with salvaged parts from other mills in West Virginia. It is considered a replica of the original Coopers mill located nearby.



Visitors to Babcock State Park in Clifftop, West Virginia, Can hike, camp, rent watercraft, and even visit the Glade Creek Grist Mill and buy corn meal and flour made at the facility. The mill is considered a living, working monument to the 500 other mills that used to be located throughout West Virginia State.
