The Simple History of Sherlock Holmes

Do you know about the intelligent and proficient fictional detective named Sherlock Holmes, if not then here is the history of the world's most smartest fictional detective. Sherlock was written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who was a well known british writer. The character of Sherlock Holmes was inspired by an actual figure named Joseph Bell who was a surgeon who worked at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Arthur actually worked for him as a clerk and was inspired by him for his actions that were, coming up with huge conclusions from minutes of close and careful observations. For Arthur's first book that included Sherlock Holmes and his partner in crime who is Dr. Watson which was called "A Study in Scarlet", Unfortunately, it took Arthur a long time for any Publishing Company to actually public his book, but on the 20th of November on 1886, his book got published by Ward Lock & Co. Although the book sold for very little, it's impact was major as it's now look on as one of the best books of the 19th century.

In the many stories of Sherlock Holmes, his clients tend to be people of the upper middle class or people of royalty. He is often showing quickly observing the areas that were in the crime. Then, he comes up big conclusions like he is attaching the true story together really fast, and then they eventually find the actual killer. That may seem formulaic but they way they find these clues are very interesting on their own. The stories in each book really make you think of who could have possibly committed that certain crime and how they could of possibly done that. The whole series consist of 4 novels and 56 short stories. But Sherlock isn't alone to solve these mysterious cases. He has a companion named Dr Watson who share rooms with Sherlock Holmes and Watson has obtained a Medical degree from the University of London in 1878. In the first book, he witnesses Sherlock Holmes easily solve something which might seem impossible to the average human but he managed to solve a nearly impossible case in such a short amount of time. From now on then, Watson became the sidekick to Sherlock Holmes and he accompanies him on most of his interrogations throughout the books and the short stories. Throughout the years, Sherlock Holmes because super popular as he has a world record for being the most portrayed fictional character in all of media. Sherlock Holmes even got several tv shows and movies that involved him and Watson. In conclusion, Sherlock Holmes is a interesting character who was many stories about his intersting and deep rooted mysteries which aren't always what you think.

Nice one. Keep up the excellent work.


Even though the short story is about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, I feel like there is something missing like more information on the author/writer.
